Bay is an artist and teacher living in Eastling, a small village on the North Downs close to Faversham. She has spent many years teaching art and textiles up to A level at Ashford School and retired six years ago to pursue her own artwork.
Although much of her recent work is focused on printmaking, the initial drawing and recording stage is fundamental to all her practice. She enjoys an experimental, multi-disciplined approach to her work, incorporating a mixture of materials into projects.
Much of her work has a narrative quality, expressing a personal response to time and place and the interpretation of each piece is open to the experiences and interests of the viewer.
Bay has participated in many exhibitions in Kent and her work is in private collections in the UK, USA, Canada and India.
