Fiona Taylor

Primarily a ceramic artist, Fiona's sculptural and conceptual work has explored the opposing forces of control and randomness and ideas concerning memory. There is always a fascination with the enduring nature of fired clay and the information historical remnants bring to the present.  This work feeds into her thrown homeware which combine the qualities of art and utensil.

Fiona completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at the University for Creative Arts in Canterbury in 2013. She has exhibited in Jersey and in Kent, including The Beaney and Lilford Framing Gallery in Canterbury, Smallhythe Gallery in Tenterden and the Horsbridge in Whitstable. Fiona also works freelance designing and delivering art workshops for the public and for schools.

Fiona is finding the project is a fascinating discovery of some of Kent's rich history whilst developing wonderful friendships.
