Liz is a photographer and author based near Ashford in Kent. Her art photography encompasses all formats of photography and film and her work has been exhibited and sold internationally. Her travel images have been sold to magazines, books and the travel trade. Since the first lockdown, Liz has been spending the pandemic working on a series of walking books on Kent.

Liz was first drawn to pilgrimages when she discovered the Tro Briez pilgrimage which takes in the sites of the seven founding saints of Brittany in France. For Liz, this is an opportunity to follow a pilgrimage route on foot and discover more parts of Kent. It is not about the completion of the journey, but a chance to spend time viewing the landscape, seeing nature and the companionship of the journey.

For this project Liz is  creating images using both film and digital photography as well as exploring textile art and mixed media. Liz  has been drawn to the abstract nature of the landscape as it changes along the Augustine Camino. She has been exploring the use of colour and experimenting with her digital images to create striking images which require the viewer to stop and take a closer look.
